A three hour transformational theatre games class with a focus on expanding the actor's comfort zone.  Using techniques taught at NYU's Graduate Acting Program, this class helps to dissolve worry and doubt, empowering the actor to make bold choices and transform into the characters he or she plays.  Transformational acting is a very physical approach to storytelling that engages the audience in an immediate and visceral way.

Karl currently serves on the faculty of NYU's Graduate Acting Program.  He is also Master Games teacher at the Chautauqua Theater Company's Conservatory training program.

He has taught master classes at the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program, the Juggernaut Theatre Company ArtsGym Workshop Program and Williamstown Theater Festival among others.  Karl is also one of three national panelists for the  NFAA Arts Awards competition, the sole nominating committee for Presidential Scholars in the Arts.

His work as a teacher was featured in the 2006 Academy Award nominated documentary, Rehearsing A Dream.

He is currently available for private coaching.
